Tiles bill per map session: one session is one unit, and you can pan, zoom and refresh freely within it. Geocoding and routing bill per request. It all comes from the same pool, and we never charge per active user or device.

No card on signup, no trial countdown, no calls home. The free tier is deliberately small: enough to evaluate the API and ship a prototype, not enough to run production traffic. Attribution to Rijwind is required.

Hard-cap plans (Free and Personal) stop at the limit: calls return 429 until the monthly reset, so you can never run up a bill by accident. Soft-cap plans (Starter and up) keep serving past your included quota and bill the extra per 1,000 requests at the end of the period. But you set a spending cap (it defaults to your plan price) and we hard-stop there. So you're never silently down on a normal spike, and never surprised by the invoice. We email you as you approach both your quota and your cap, and you can change the cap anytime.

Yes. The live weather map and the open weather-data endpoint behind it are free to use on every plan, including Free, with attribution. It runs on Vane, the open-source weather-rendering project we started, and doesn't draw from your unit pool.

Owned-and-operated infrastructure in the Netherlands. No request body is logged beyond what's needed for billing counters, and nothing leaves the EU. A signed DPA is available for paid plans on request.

Yes. Upgrades pro-rate immediately; downgrades take effect at the next renewal. Cancel anytime from the dashboard, and your account drops back to the free tier on the next cycle.
